Hello, it's me again, at this point if you're still making an effort to open this and begin reading, just know that i write for you. today, its going to be about the ones looking from behind, or in a better, the fallen angels who had potential to conquer the world but couldn't peak after the 8th grade, i feel u.
the good thing is, your so called "potential" is someone else's judgement of you, a mere reflection of their understanding and hope. they haven't lived your life, they don't know what it means to be you, they've never walked in your shoes.
Why be the best in the room? You're already there and that says a lot, you dont have to prove anyone anything,
Also its not yours for the taking every time, what matters is that you live up to your potential, not expectations, and your potential can be different on different days, if you have 40% and you give it all, then you're essentially giving your all of it, the 100%.
Just show up and do what you always do, don't burn out thinking what you can do, just be who you are, and when the time is right, it will come out naturally, you can only fake something for so long, its fine if you don't have the listening ear, or the empathetic words, just show up, its enough.
You'll find people who are like you, its human tendency, its what has always happened, there's someone out there who thinks like u do, who has the same fears and insecurities, same strength and beliefs, same questions as you do, that someone is gonna show up the same place you are, but for that to happen, you need to show up, just be patient enough, worst case, you would die waiting but its better than curbing your desires just to fit in, right? right?
what if there's no one out there who does things the way you do because maybe you're just outright weird! even then you hope, hope that someone will show up and accept you for who you are.
your potential was never what you could do on your best day, it was what you could be in your worst. yeah, being in college is tough, maybe you don't have enough friends, maybe you're buried in internships and job applications, maybe you're climbing the corporate ladder in a age when you should be making out in the college corridor, maybe all of this sucks and there's no light in the end of the tunnel but this is not who you are.
take a breath and look, you're already here, there's no shame in starting again and again if you feel like it. do what makes sense to you, I have been working as a writer for past 3 years, while running an IT startup with my friends while I am in 3rd year of Fuc#ing LAW! and for those 3 years i have been doing everything except law!
I left my job last month without having another one but i have one right now, universe has a great way of rewarding people who have the audacity to ask for more. Drop out from that college, resign from that job, breakup with that piece of shit OR, finish your degree, get promoted in your job, move in with your better half. life is too short to think about these things, just mix your bad decisions and move on.
because in the end You're already there and that says a lot, you dont have to prove anyone anything,
